Hi All, we have created a Pipeline in our dev environment to deploy solution to Pro environment.

But this pipeline is not visible to others in our team.

Please suggest is there anyway can we share this pipeline with others in our team also ?

Note: we didn't see any share option for pipelines, there is no role like deployment pipeline

In Azure DevOps, pipelines do not have a direct "share" button or explicit sharing feature. Instead, pipeline visibility and access are controlled through project-level permissions and security roles.

Let's check and set pipeline permissions:

    1. Go to the pipeline in Azure DevOps.
    2. Click on the three dots (ellipsis) next to the pipeline name and select Security.
    3. Add the users or groups you want to share the pipeline with.
    4. Assign appropriate permissions such as "View builds," "Edit build pipeline," or "Queue builds" depending on what they need.

    Pipelines cannot be shared directly.

To make them visible, you must grant users access to the pipeline’s environment and assign the appropriate Dataverse security roles (such as Deployment Pipeline

    User).

Once permissions are in place, the pipeline will automatically become visible.

The reason you don't see a share option is confirmed from Microsoft docs: personal pipelines created through the platform host cannot be shared with other users. This is a confirmed limitation by design.

    You have two options:

Option 1 (quickest for your scenario): Convert to a custom host pipeline. A custom host pipeline supports full sharing with team members. As an admin you set it up once, then team members get access via security roles. The steps are:
    1. Install the Power Platform Pipelines application in a dedicated host environment
    2. Open the Deployment Pipeline Configuration app in that host environment
    3. Create your pipeline there
    4. Go to Settings > Security Teams in the app and assign your team members the Deployment Pipeline User security role in the host environment
    5. Share the pipeline record with your team members (or an Entra security group) from within the Deployment Pipeline Configuration app - Read privilege is enough to view and run the pipeline

Once done, team members will see the shared pipeline in their development environments.

Option 2 (admin shortcut): If you want to share the pipeline with everyone in specific development environments automatically, use the Default Deployment Pipeline rule in environment groups. This assigns a pipeline to all development environments in a group and shares it with all users on the default team of the host environment automatically.
The key point: you need to move away from a personal pipeline to a custom host pipeline to enable sharing. Personal pipelines are only visible to the person who created them.

    Best regards,

    Valantis
