Hey everyone,

I’ve been using Power Automate a lot lately and its really useful for me because its inside the M365 environment and can be connected with other MS apps. I'm also using alot of Power Automate to automate as much as possible, so my life will become alot easier. For example, I built automations where tasks get created from emails, SharePoint lists, or Forms responses — saves a ton of time and keeps everything in one place.
Now I want to know guys, do you have any real life struggles with MS apps which you find repetitive and want automation? Please let me know and maybe we can inspire eachother and come up with interesting ideas!!

I am trying to build a flow that completes this:

1. I have a "template" MS Excel file that needs to be updated with the latest rows of information, in specific columns.

2. I receive updates in an MS Excel "current report" worksheet biweekly.

3. The flow I build doesn't work; there are so many data restrictions to get it to flow. Shouldn't this type of flow be an easy process to complete?

I am finding there are many tools and helps but they really don't fit together well. They'll accomplish simple items (ex., add to a calendar) but how does it work to get two MS Excel files to "flow" together?

This is a struggle, and I'm looking for ideas that work.

I lost hope by the other replies but let me try once with you. And also, it is not the expert problems but I dont have much knowledge on complicated workflows. Here is the incoming email:

Problem Statement: Need to look Sheta Tiwanr in the outlook, and forward the email to her.

The only unique content in the above email is "has an overdue task in tool", the rest is all dynamic.

Can you help to create workflow?

I like the idea of automating the smaller tasks that usually get repeated throughout the week. I have been looking at similar workflows for a small business website, especially around form submissions, content updates, notifications, and keeping a record of routine activity.

One thing I have found useful is to start with one simple workflow instead of trying to automate everything at once. For example, a website event could trigger a notification in Microsoft 365, while the important details are also saved somewhere for later review.

I also think there is a lot of value in connecting website activity with the tools a business is already using. If someone is already working with Outlook, Excel, Teams, or SharePoint, Power Automate can make the transition from a website event to an internal task much easier.

I am particularly interested in how people handle content changes. A small business site can have service pages, FAQs, and other information that changes over time. Having an automated way to record those changes or notify the right person could save quite a bit of manual checking.

I would be interested to see what workflows others have found genuinely useful in production. I think the most valuable automations are the ones that remove repetitive work without making the process difficult to maintain.

For me its the frustration of using a shared excel file to update a daily email to the team. It should be very simple, but Im changing the flow in different sections due to errors or connection issues. All the connections are valid. We use copilot everyday in excel. But scripts do not always make sense or work. For me this is a professional suite of products. Its just to annoying to have to jump out to phyton or similar. My rant ty.
