Search Rows (Preview) GA?

Hello,

I would like to know if there has been any evidence posted by Microsoft on when the connector Search Rows (Preview) will be available in GA.
This is because I would like to use relevance search in a production environment flow, but I know that Microsoft does not recommend preview features in such context.
As this connector has been marked preview for I think 4-5 years now, I would like to know if there are any plans of releasing it as GA.

Thank you,

Dario

There is no official evidence or announcement from Microsoft indicating when (or if) the Search Rows (Preview) action will reach GA.

It has remained in preview for several years, and this typically indicates that Microsoft is either not prioritizing its GA release or is evolving toward alternative search approaches.

While it can still be used, it is not officially recommended for production-critical scenarios.

11manish is right. No official timeline or GA announcement exists. It's been in preview for years with no public roadmap commitment.

One additional data point from current Microsoft docs: the Search rows action still doesn't support the Environment parameter (cross-environment queries) which is a known limitation flagged in the Dataverse connector docs. That's usually a sign an action is still maturing.

For production use, the most reliable alternative right now is calling the Dataverse search API directly via the HTTP with Entra ID connector. You POST to:
    https://[your-org].api.crm.dynamics.com/api/data/v9.2/searchindex

This hits the same underlying Dataverse search engine that Search rows (Preview) uses, but via a stable REST endpoint that's not subject to connector preview status. The query syntax is identical to what you'd use in the Search rows action.

If you want to avoid the HTTP action complexity, the List rows action with OData filter expressions covers most relevance search needs for structured queries, though it won't give you the full-text fuzzy search that Search rows provides.

    Best regards,

    Valantis
