I have a user table that is used to set user permissions for an app. One of the fields is a person field, and no matter how I try to query it from PowerAutomate I get the following error:

One or more field types are not installed properly. Go to the list settings page to delete these fields.

I check the fields and I see nothing wrong. I created another person field and get the same error.

I created a new table with a person field and no matter what field I use I cannot query the list for a matching person...

[Field]/Email

[Field]/DisplayName

Tried this about 50-11 times over the course of months and I was always able to find something else to task myself with. Now I am running my head into a brick wall because I have reached the point where I need to be able to get past this, but I am getting no joy.

Based on your description, this does not appear to be a problem with the Person field itself. The issue is more likely caused by an incorrect OData query, the way the Person field is being expanded, or a SharePoint/Power Automate connector issue. Reviewing the query syntax and the Person field structure in the action output is the best next step. If the issue can be reproduced in a new SharePoint site with a simple test list, it would be worth raising a Microsoft Support ticket, as it may indicate a platform-related issue.

Hi @JasonD,

A common issue/gotcha of the Person field is that you need to query for EMail with an uppercase M.

Try

InternalFieldName/EMail eq 'dennis@contoso.com'

Btw, it is also Title and not displayName as well if you want to query on somebody his full name.

For the full name try

InternalFieldName/Title eq 'Dennis Goedegebuure'
