Hello Team,

I just came here to clarify that the Power Automate cloud workflow is not working with my personal account.

A year back, I was using all the tools and was more active, but due to some family and personla issue i am not active with it. Now, when I came back, when I try to log in with the Power Automate Cloud with my personal Outlook, I am getting an error message,

so power autiomate cloud will not work with the personal account?

Error message
Sorry, but we’re having trouble signing you in.

AADSTS500200: User account 'iamNKannan@outlook.com' is a personal Microsoft account. Personal Microsoft accounts are not supported for this application unless explicitly invited to an organization. Try signing out and signing back in with an organizational account.

Thanks,
I have the same question (0)

The error isn't caused by your account or a temporary issue—it's because Power Automate Cloud now requires a Microsoft Entra ID organizational account.

Personal Microsoft accounts (@outlook.com, @hotmail.com, etc.) are no longer supported for signing in to the enterprise Power Automate service.

If you want to continue developing cloud flows, you'll need access to a work/school tenant or a developer tenant.

If you're only interested in desktop automation, Power Automate Desktop remains an option with a personal account, although its cloud capabilities will be

    limited.

This is a confirmed change personal Microsoft accounts (@outlook.com, @hotmail.com) can no longer sign in to Power Automate Cloud. Multiple community threads from late 2025 confirm this is a policy change that affected users who had previously been using Power Automate with personal accounts for years.

Your options to get back up and running:

    1. Microsoft 365 Developer Program (free): sign up at developer.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/dev-program. This gives you a free Microsoft 365 E5 developer tenant with an organizational account and 25 user licenses. It's the recommended path for individuals and developers who don't have a work account. Your flows won't transfer automatically but you can recreate them.

    2. Work or school account: if you have any organizational Microsoft 365 subscription (through an employer, school, or client), use that account instead.

    3. Trial tenant: go to admin.microsoft.com and sign up for a Microsoft 365 Business Basic trial with a new domain. This creates an organizational tenant.
Unfortunately there's no way to migrate your existing flows from the personal account to a new tenant. The content is tied to the personal account environment which is no longer accessible.
