How to import someone else's workflow?

I am trying to import a workflow so that my connection will not need to be readded every month or so. I am already a part of the solution, but the workflow is shared. When I try and import the workflow with the zip file, I receive the error in the screenshot below. The workflow is send an email with options, so my connection needs to be reconnected every few weeks. Any solution to this? I would either like to figure out how to import the package so I can set up my connection indefinitely or find a way so my coworker can connect my email once without needing to go in and reestablish my connection throughout the year.

    Hey,

Try putting the flow in a solution and export/import that instead.

Or create a copy of the flow via the UI and then set you as the owner for the copy.

If you can create a service account, you could set up a dedicated service account (like workflow@company.com) with a proper M365/Exchange license and mailbox access. Create the Power Automate connection using this account, then update your solution to use Connection References instead of personal connections. Map all Outlook actions to the service account connection so the flow runs independently of any individual user and doesn’t require frequent re-authentication.

    Hi,

If you want to import someone else’s workflow in Microsoft Power Automate, you need to choose the correct import option based on how the flow was shared
    • If the workflow is part of a solution, use:

      Import → Import Solution (Dataverse)

    • If the workflow is provided as a .zip file (package), use:

      Import → Import Package (Legacy)
