Automation idea including Approvals - Team with Planner Excel.

Hello,

This is very interesting idea, which helps in improving productivity by saving time and efforts.

The needed flow is that when I send or receive a request on Approvals-Team for approval, I need to add task on Planner for execution, also I need to save the request data in Excel to control related expenses also to build analysis.

How you can help in this?

Yes this is possible. If you have used the "Post an Adaptive Card and wait for a response" action to send the approval request in Teams, then you can build a second flow using the trigger "When someone responds to an adaptive card" to detect that response and automate the rest.

Flow structure:

Trigger: When someone responds to an adaptive card (Teams)

→ Add task in Planner (using response details)

→ Add row in Excel (log request data + expense info)

→ Update Planner task based on Approved/Rejected response

This way, the moment someone clicks Approve or Reject on the card in Teams, the flow picks it up automatically and handles both Planner task creation and Excel logging without any manual effort.

One thing to note — the card needs to be sent using the Teams connector action specifically, not through native Teams Approvals app, for this trigger to work.
