Has anyone encountered this error before? I’m unable to run an unattended RPA in the Default environment—only in other environments—because this error appears:

The request to the XRM API failed with the error:
'Message: Access to Dataverse API is restricted for this application Id: '53ab501f-3793-448d-8c4e-cae80d89a8f3'. Please contact your administrator for more information.

This is most likely that your admins have a DLP policy that is blocking you.

That is why it says to contact your IT Admin.

Very often this is the case, as by default the Default environment is open to everyone and its the Wild wild west out there, so admins will shut down as much as they can.

They should be able to grant you an exception within the Policy if they agree too.

That is the answer, I hope it helps :-)

You are trying to access Dataverse itself.

Did you go in an assign permissions there? Truly by default you should not build things there if you can help it, its open to everyone and more of a dumping ground then anything

Check if the machine user has appropriate security roles on the Power Platform environment.

I opened a ticket, and the issue is that it's now impossible to call a Desktop Flow using the Default Environment. This is a new Microsoft rule—apparently, it's to protect Dataverse access—and there's nothing I can do about it. I'll just have to accept it and create new environments.

    Thanks, guys!
