Tom Macfarlan – Community Spotlight

Tom entered into the world of Power Automate out of necessity, as Project Management overhead tasks began to take up more and more of his team's time. With a background in everything from application development to server management to network administration, he quickly saw the potential of Power Automate's integrations and built in connectors.

He joined the community after realizing it was answering a lot of questions he had while building flows. As his automation processes grew in complexity he began to contribute back to the community, and now he realizes the value of being an active community member both contributing to and learning from others every day. His favorite solutions are in the form of logic puzzles that require a creative take on the platform's capabilities.

When not behind a keyboard, Tom rebuilds early- to mid-1900s commercial kitchen machines and desk fans as a hobby. He can be found riding his high wheel bicycle around Charlotte NC when the weather is participating.
