AI Rate Builder Costing questions

Hi all,
 
I have a use case where I have about 10 fields within Dataverse table. Each field has limit about 5000 characters, I created a custom prompt within AI builder which basically compares the previous value with current value of the fields and generates a html code which contains HTML tags with differences between previous value and new value. The HTML code has tags like strikethrough and changes font color to red whenever there are changes. The Dataverse table has around 250 records. On an estimate, let's assume that each user will go in and compare the changes about 4 times per month and for each field. Can some one give me an estimate as to how many Credits per month will I need based on all this info? I need to convince my Manager that this implementation is worth it since there is no way that I can compare previous and new value using PowerFX so I have to use AI builder custom prompt. I tried looking at AI builder rate card but that is so confusing.

     AI Builder Credit Consumption Basics:

    • AI Builder credit usage for custom prompts is based on tokens processed (input + output).

      • 1 AI Builder credit ≈ 1,000 tokens processed (this is a rough industry estimate, not official).
      • A token is roughly 4 characters of text.

    Rough Estimate Calculation:

    Let’s estimate the number of tokens per comparison:

    • 10 fields × 5,000 characters = 50,000 characters per record.
    • 50,000 characters ≈ 12,500 tokens.
    • Each comparison = 12,500 tokens input + ~2,500 tokens output = 15,000 tokens total.

    Now multiply:

    • 250 records × 4 comparisons/month = 1,000 comparisons/month.
    • 1,000 comparisons × 15 credits = 15,000 AI Builder credits/month.

    Summary:

    You will likely need ~15,000 AI Builder credits per month to support this use case.
