Michael Gernaey was a long time Microsoft Employee, where he mentored many while he worked in different organizations over his career. He was a principal architect lead and manager on the D365 / Power Platform product team, focusing on onboarding and educating thousands of partners, customers and internal teams on the Platforms. Michael drove the design and delivery of the initial Platform Industry Accelerators, across Health Care, K-12, Higher Ed, Automotive and more.
Michael spent most of his time architecting and delivering large scale solutions for D365 and the Power Platform, across Azure, On-Premises, Hybrid and 3rd party platforms globally, both internally and externally. He worked closely with the different product teams to support field and sales across Microsoft including Windows, SQL, Office, Azure and more. Once deciding to leave Microsoft, he was quickly drawn into the community and its global impact on people's lives. This is when he became more active, enjoying the kinship of both those asking and those answering, and finding folks to mentor.
Outside of Microsoft, he loves spending time with his wife of 26 years and his immensely large dogs. He loves sports and being active but cannot help but enjoy a good date night with a good dinner and a show.
