I am using Modern Data table in canvas app, I am facing an issue filtering is not working properly in modern table like combo-box, dropdown, toggle button. Same code, I have used in custom table and gallery it is working fine.
this issue simply pops up cause the modern controls are not reliable until now and if they are already generally available they have more limitations than benefits (in my and many others point of view).
i would suggest to stick to the classic ones for now.
