I have created a very simple proof of concept agent that has 3 PDF's its knowledge. The location is a Sharepoint site that all employees have read access to. When I go to use the agent, it doesn't seem to use those resources for its answers. I cannot figure out why it doesn't work so any help is greatly appreciated.

Make sure generative AI orchestration is enabled and web search is disabled in your agent. Another thing to try is creating a custom topic, add a generative AI answer with data sources selected to your PDFs only and web search disabled.

I am assuming you are working in a tenant with at least one M365 Copilot license. Without this there is no semantic index and your Copilot responses won't be as smart.

Can you please share pictures of your Knowledge sources, also please share your instructions, and if you have a Topic, please share the flow of your topic or tool(s) if this is a conversational agent.

Lastly, please look at the activities tab and please share what that looks like so you can see what your agent did to try to answer. This will help answer your question and the issue you are facing as to why it appears not to care about those files.

Gen AI orchestration is turned on and web search is disabled. Not sure I understand the topic idea.

I have attached screenshots of my knowledge sources. The Topics are whatever was built automatically.

As far as activity, it looks like it only shows activity if I am testing in the agent. I am testing in the app via Teams and I don't show any activity there.
