Azure DevOps Git - Separate solutions based on Project, not Folder

I'd like to be able to have source control for all of my solutions separately, with each solution connecting to a different DevOps project, not all connecting to the same one with a different folder.

It doesn't quite make sense that I wouldn't be able to do this. Each project has a different task board, repository, and pipeline, which I'd like to use to separate projects. Each solution I have is a different project, so I'd want each solution to have its own Azure DevOps project.

Is this any way possible? Am I missing the point of not having this functionality, and limiting it to forcing the same project for all solutions in an environment?

Based off of this screenshot, wouldn't it make more sense to stop at the "Organization" selection, and have each solution pick a Project, Repository, and root folder separately?
I have the same question (0)

    I am not sure I understand, you are picking it per Solution.

    You can do this.. so I am not sure I understand.

    Go create 1,000 projects in DevOps and add one Solution per Project in DevOps, what part is missing?

    Sorry I am not seeing the disconnect from what you say you want and how it works, even your picture beautifully shows you can pick the Project.

    @Michael E. Gernaey

    Sorry, that was a bad example of what my issue is.

    This screenshot shows me trying to connect another Solution to its corresponding DevOps project, after already connecting another one.

    I'm only able to pick a branch and folder. I can't select another project, or repository. (I have blacked out personal info for security reasons). The Project and Repository sections do not have a drop down to select.

    Ok that is weird... Its 2AM for me I need to sleep.

    We may need to show you how to us the ALM Kit to configure this versus in the Ui. But I need to see why your UI is doing this.

    I will get back to you later today, that is the plan I swear :-)

    Good night.
