Most efficient automation structure to create Planner tasks while chating with AI Agent

Hi!

I'm looking for an efficient way to create Planner tasks, based on a description and title template defined on ai agent's settings.

1. Should I opt:

- Copilot Studio <> Power Automate <> Planner

or

- Copilot Studio <> Planner

structure?

2. How to input a previous agent's response into the Planner task that will be created?

    Hi,
Do you have a Microsoft 365 Copilot license? If that's the case, you can try Copilot in Planner, without using a custom agent.

    Hope it helps!

    Hello,

    1. Both options are applicable - if you're able to properly structure the input, then I'd go with Planner only, without Power Automate. That depends on what method you are using for the chatbot design - classic or generative answers (you can read more about it here: https://copilottoday.com/two-ways-to-design-chatbots-in-copilot-studio/
    2. That depends on what method you're using. If you're using generative answers with the classic design, then you can save the response to the variable in the action. If you're using generative orchestration, then you can use LastMessage.Text system variable:

In case of any other questions, let me know. If the answer helped you, mark it, so that others can benefit from it.

    Best regards,
