Hello,

Is there a guide that can explain to correct way to delete a page.
When i go about deleting a page i select the three dots next to the page in design studio and click delete. This removes the page from Design studio but i notice when i use VSCode to download a fresh set of files i get page-deleted folder for the pages i deleted in Design studio.
From the research i have done i believe that those pages that i delete are still being referenced somewhere and that is why they still appear in VSCode when running pac pages download .
Is there a clear guide that explains or preferably shows the correct steps to deleting a page the right way?

    Hi @SAOSteve,

    the best way which I found is to get into the powerpages management app and first deactivate the page and than delete the page.
    That did delete everything including links, those subpages with css,html,js are also deleted and not listed in vs code anymore.

    Hope that helps

    @RK2021 Thanks  for your response.

    When deleting pages i did find that sometimes the web link set still has the old page. But by default when navigating to web link sets and selecting your web link set it only shows Active web links.
    Setting the filter to inactive then shows up any links to pages that may have been deleted.

    I think like you said if you do any deletions through the Power Pages/Portal Management App then it will remove these links for you. If you delete the folder in VS Code and upload it doesnt remove the page folder.

    This isn't a guide as such, but more of an observation which might help. In my experience I have deleted pages via the Power Pages/Portal Management app - this allows you to delete both the main web page and the localized child page (one is always created by default).

    I'm not sure how this functions with solution-based deployments and the enhanced data model, but works as expected for the standard data model.
