Error with Multi Step Forms

I'm building a vendor questionnaire trying to use Multi Step Forms. The form will eventually have a condition to skip to the end if the respondent answers Yes to one of the questions. All of my fields in the table are simple text fields with the exception of the one Yes/No question that will eventually be a condition. I eventually get this error and am not sure what to track it to. I ended up creating a new page on the site and it works fine again through my 3 steps but am concerned the error will eventually happen again. I still have 20 more questions to add to the form but am hoping to avoid having to start all over again.

In case the screenshot doesn't work, the error says "Unable to cast object of type 'System.String' to type Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.EntityReference'.

    Hi @kabbas75,

Please make sure that you are not passing any string value to lookup field (check steps configuration and metadata).

Hi, is the error happening at the condition step? can you share a snapshot of the condition?

Also, as per Emad's comment, do you have any metadata associated with the step or other JS?

One way to figure this out is to use the PAC cli. When downloading, it often gives much more specific information on issues. In my case, I saw a message that a form step had been deleted either on accident or by the system (the name of the form step was renamed "<step name>INVALID_CONTENT". By using the CLI, I got a better error message and based on that, manually found the form step, which had been detached from the multi-step form. I then deleted the form step.

pac pages download --overwrite --path "C:\src\yourPortalName" --webSiteId <guid of your website> --modelVersion "2"
