I have office365 (Home), and today I've subscibed to Co-PilotPro. I need to generate a summary of a resource hosted on a website. PowerPoint/Copilot is answering:

I can transform files in your personal OneDrive only. Please upload the file to your personal OneDrive and try again with the link to the uploaded file.

When troubleshooting with the great support lady from Microsoft, we've discovered that:
1) Create a ppt file of 1 slide to summerise the content of the office.com website is working

But
2) Generate a ppt of 1 slide from the website www.debian.org does not work

The message you’re seeing from Copilot suggests that it’s primarily designed to summarize content from documents hosted in OneDrive rather than directly from external websites. This behavior is likely due to security and data access controls that limit Copilot’s ability to fetch content directly from the web unless it’s a Microsoft domain or a resource already accessible through OneDrive.

A workaround would be to download or copy the content from Debian.org into a document (e.g., Word or PDF) and then upload it to your OneDrive. From there, you should be able to use Copilot in PowerPoint to generate a summary based on the document you uploaded. This extra step allows you to bypass the direct web access limitation and still generate summaries for external content.

    Thanks.

I'm curious. Could it be that the AI has detected that your connection is not within the acceptable threshold? I don't know whether the policies are like that or not. My experience was totally different because I need to be in a secured, safe, and stable environment before I can access any company resources.
