I created a bot and I get the following message when people in my organization want to ask the bot questions.
This agent is currently unavailable. You have reached your usage limit. Please try again later.

It appears when the agent’s message capacity (Copilot Credits) is exhausted or your pay‑as‑you‑go meter has hit its limit.

    Check the agent’s capacity status

Review Copilot Credit consumption/allocation for the environment in the Power Platform admin center under Licensing then Products then Copilot Studio.

If you’re using prepaid Copilot Credits, purchase/allocate more to the environment.

If you’re using pay‑as‑you‑go, ensure the billing plan is active and not capped; increasing the limit will clear the enforcement once billing allows it. After adding capacity, wait a few minutes and try again.

    Hi,

The message “This agent is currently unavailable. You have reached your usage limit. Please try again later.” typically indicates that your Copilot agent has hit one of the following limits:

    ---

    ### 📊 1. **Session or Message Quota Reached**
Each Copilot Studio environment has **daily and monthly usage quotas** for messages and sessions. If your agent is receiving high traffic, it may exceed:
    - **Message limits per user or per tenant**
    - **Session limits per day**

You can monitor and manage these limits in the **Copilot Studio analytics dashboard** under **Settings > Analytics > Usage**.

    ---

    ### 🔐 2. **License or Capacity Constraints**
    Ensure that:
    - Your organization has sufficient **Copilot Studio capacity** assigned.
    - The users interacting with the agent have the appropriate **Microsoft 365 or Copilot licenses**.

If the agent is shared broadly but your environment has limited capacity, this can trigger the usage cap.

    ---

    ### ⚙️ 3. **Environment-Level Restrictions**
If the agent is deployed in a **trial environment** or one with restricted capacity, it may have lower thresholds. Consider:
    - Upgrading to a **production environment**.
    - Reviewing the **Dataverse capacity** and **Power Platform quotas**.

    ---

    ### ✅ Recommended Actions
    - Check usage metrics in **Copilot Studio > Settings > Analytics**.
    - Review your **Power Platform admin center** for environment and capacity settings.
    - If needed, request additional capacity or adjust the agent’s availability to reduce load.
