View doesn't resolve application inserted records, only file loaded records

Greetings!

I was (and am still) stumped by this while I worked on the Parking Challenge.

You can see that for the two vehicles (in red), there are parking requests (in blue) that don't resolve into the "Active Parking Inspections Today" view.  The extra fun part is that in the "Active Parking Inspections" view, they still don't appear, but records loaded from the provided student files (highlighted yellow) DO!

Any ideas?

My apologies on the delayed response. is this still broken?

I agree... unless the view itself is somehow broken

But I do notice that you are pointing at ParkingRequestName on one and just ParkingRequest in the other

    Hi Michael,

This is the parking request table:

The records are in there.  It will be some very small, seemingly insignificant thing that I did wrong (it usually is).   (â—”_â—”)

    Regards,
    Bill

To me this looks like the LookUp value was not populated and that is why its not showing up.

Go into the Table itself, not a view, and see if there is data there. If not then the problem is, there was no lookup written when the rows were created so you actually are seeing what you should.

You could manually fix them easy enough, but you need to verify if you create new records does it do the same thing so that you can zero in on if you have a bug
