Hello,

I am developing tutorbots for our university in Microsoft Copilot Studio (CS). I find CS very good, a nice Lego for adults, but I have been struggling with a problem for months:

The <Generative Answers> nodes in the Topics do not always stick to their custom instructions. For example, the <generative answers> node in a topic should only check whether a user question is valid and relates to the content of the uploaded reference document. As a result of this decision, the node should only respond with “Yes” or “No”. This answer is then used by the subsequent condition. Unfortunately, the generative node often does not check the question, but answers it directly, which disrupts the subsequent “Yes”/“No” condition logic. The Microsoft documents also state that the <Generative Answers> node does not always follow its instructions:

Is there any chance that this problem will be fixed, or are there ways to solve this problem?

Thank you very much!

Best,

Jaromir

Yes, this is very stage of a CS and MS improving lot of thing day by day and we would get some stable point where we can get some ideas about this.
