What is the limitation of personal deployment(Platform Host) pipelines feature?

Hi Everyone,

I am testing the deployment feature to create a pipeline that deploys from Dev → UAT → PROD in the Power Platform.

Initially, I created a pipeline that deploys the solution from Dev → PROD, and now I am trying to extend the pipeline by adding a UAT stage. I used Add Stage and selected the UAT environment, but the sequence is now showing as Dev → PROD → UAT.

The Manage Pipelines option is greyed out, so I’m unable to change the sequence. How can I reorder the stages? Also, is it not possible to extend the pipeline further—for example, by adding an SIT stage (Dev → SIT → UAT → PROD)?

I have the same question (0)

you can configure deployment stages for the same

for the first(prod) deployment stage update previous deployment stage as second(uat) that should fix your issue

    Hello @CU22110324-0 ,

Personal pipelines are great for quick Dev → Prod testing, but you can’t reorder stages or extend them into multi‑stage enterprise sequences. For SIT/UAT/Prod style deployments, you’ll need to move to managed deployment pipelines.

If this helped or could help others in the community, feel free to give it a like or a kudo — it helps surface useful answers for everyone!

When you add a new stage in a Power Platform pipeline, it always gets added to the end. That’s why your sequence changed to Dev to PROD and UAT. Reordering normally happens through the Manage Pipelines option, but if it’s greyed out, it means you either don’t have Pipeline Admin permissions or you’re not able to access the pipeline configuration area in the correct environment.

If you get the right permissions from your admin, you’ll be able to reorder the stages. Otherwise, the easiest workaround is to remove the newly added stage and add the environments back in the correct order. You can also extend the pipeline with additional stages like Dev to SIT to UAT and PROD as needed.
