Update properties in item in SP list from predefined columns in sharepoint library

Hi!

So the thing is that there is a predefined column in sharepoint that gives you information that the file is approved, pending or denied I think is this one
body/{ModerationStatus}
The thing is I want to update the item in a list that is updating all the metadata form all the files on libraries. So when they work on it and approves it, it syncronizes with the item in the list, so if I go check the list and the library is the same information.
What should I add in the "update item properties"?

Thanks!
I have the same question (0)

    I won't lie, its probably just me but I am confused.

    Can you please try to restate in steps what you need and how the approvals relate to your ask.

    I will explain:

    In sharepoint libraries, there are some columns that are created with the library like the status column of the file. While you work the file, you can update that status from pending to approved or denied. That column it's not created by me and I don't know where to find in the dynamic expression in PowerAutomate that value. So, when someone update the file status, it updates a file status in an item in a Master list that contains all the files of any site or subsiste as items with full metadata.

     Hope this helps you understand a little bit.

    Did it help to understand the situation?

    So the status of the files in SharePoint libraries, be updated on item column. So I have a master list with all the files that are in the SP site.
    The only thing missing is the Approval Status of it, but I don't have the option to add it in Power Automate as dynamic content.

    Hi

    What data type is Approval Status? You could add a compose action step and see whether its displaying under the Dynamic tab. Then map this compose output under your Update Item Action Step.

    Thanks

    Hi!

    What do yo mean by data type?
    In SP there is a column when you accept versioning that it gets you differents choices (approved, rejected, draft & pending). So I want that data to be on the item it creates when the files is created but I can't find the Dynamic content.

    I want to add that from the trigger but I don't know what to do:

    Is there a way to be added if it's not shown?

    Hi

    So my understanding is  triggerOutputs()?['body/{ModerationStatus}'] is the value you want to update in your list property which is a custom column optionset. So when you define the custom column in your list with the same values as ModerationStatus you should be able to map it.

    Thanks

    Hi

    I did tested this. So add a compose action step and use the below expression

    triggerOutputs()?['body/{ModerationStatus}']

    Use this output under your update action step.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    So when doing your indications, I don't get any results returning. Look:
    As you can see below, it jumps the Estat Value and goes to the next column.

    I think I oppened another question and it's still oppened: When approval status on any file on Sharepoint site is approved runs a trigger

    Look there I tried when it's approved to run the trigger but didn't find why it doesn't run. Did the column on SharePoint site not working? Could it be because it's on premise SP? It could be the settings of the column? I don't think so but at this point...

    Thanks!!
