I'm having issues with sending an automated email based on my modern template using either a classic workflow or an automated flow. Neither seem to support the modern email templates.
FYI, the modern designer seems to be very new. The only way I've been able to create a modern email template is by creating a record of entity type "Email template" (different from "Email Template" entity). I can only get to that entity and create a new record using Advanced Find. This is the look and feel of the new designer:
Classic workflow don't even provide an option to select templates of type "Email template" (again, please pay attention to the small "t". "Email Template" is the legacy entity).
Automated flows do give the option to select "Email template". I tried sending an email using different methods using unbound actions such as "InstantiateTemplate" and "SendEmailFromTemplate" but in either case I've got the following error:
Entity 'template' With Id = <template ID> Does Not Exist
So it appears automated flows don't support modern templates either. It's either that or I don't know how to do it.
I would very much appreciate any help with this issue.
