HI,

I need clarity on copilot studio vtrail licenses available for me under my admin center, if i assign that to user, will it get expired in 30 days?? or not.

if it expires then will i be able to access my agent deployed after trail expired?? or will it start charging automatically as Pay-as-you-go??

or in another scenario i have a user2 assigned with M365 copilot and Copilot studio vtrail License both, now when the trail license expires will the agent still be accessible for this user2?? will it be separately charged as  Pay-as-you-go??

Please provide clarity on these points it will be truly appreciated.

    1. If its an M365 Copilot then the users will need M365 Copilot licenses.

    2. If its an M365 Copilot then the users will need M365 Copilot licenses. If its a standalone agent then you will need either pay as you go or a tenant (message quota) license

    3. A tenant license has a certain message capacity.  That license will cover anyone in your organization that uses the license up to the tenant capacity.

    HI @Pstork1,

    Thank you for your response!

This do helps to see that after trail expires it will not automatically switch to Pay-as-you-go.

i have one more questions as below:

    1. if i have M365 Copilot License assigned to me, and i create a agent either using Agent builder or from copilot studio under copilot for M365.

know i will publish this to my org, will the end users in my org need to have M365 copilot license to access this agent??

    2. if i have Copilot studio vtrail license assigned to me, and i create a agent using copilot studio.

know i will publish this to my org, will the end users in my org need to have atleast M365 copilot license to access this agent??

    3. if i have Copilot studio tenant license assigned to me, and i create a agent using copilot studio.

know i will publish this to my org, will the end users in my org need to have atleast M365 copilot license to access this agent??

Please guide me with right information on this questions? answers for above questions helps a lot to convince my customers and guide them with right information.

Copilot Studio Trial licenses expire after 30 days, but they can be renewed.  But trial licenses are for learning and development only. You'll need a tenant license to put agents into production. If you want to edit an existing M365 Copilot you won't need a trial license.  You only need a Copilot Studio license to create new agents. But that license is free if you get either a tenant license (message pack) or sign up for Pay as you go.  Licensing is geared around consuming agents, not creating them.

When a trial expires it does not automatically switch to pay as you go.
