What causes SharePoint Connections to go stale?

My company is creating a knowledge agent for our SharePoint site. Its knowledge includes our SharePoint site and public website. Nearly every time I open a new chat with this AI or republish I have to reconnect to SharePoint. Is there a way to limit the amount of reconnecting/ refreshing?

    Auth tokens expire based on your company's security policy. Refresh tokens may not be enabled.

    When you fix it, are you only fixing it directly in the Agent?
     
    If so, please instead go to the Connections Tab under More ... on the home page of Power Automate or Power Apps
     
    Fix it there instead.
     
    as for going stale, that's a harder answer. At least as it relates to how quickly it goes stale. If its not being used, then its refresh token won't get refreshed, or if there are a ton of errors it can.
