I need to build conversational agent with this capability, a smart search agent with instant access to the right information.

Help me through the creation of this agent, which is requested during the conversation to directly share the link to the document in Sharepoint that the user has asked for information about.

Agent Linda: Smart Search Agent Example

User: Where can I find the file about France regulatory?
Linda: France Regulatory is located in this folder in Sharepoint....this is the link to access
User: Can you share with me where Regulation 4 is?
Linda: Regulation for is located in this PPT, page 26. This is the link to access: []

The documents will all be present within the folders in SharePoint or on OneDrive.
When a document is requested, the agent must respond with the link to the document in the chat!

What you are asking for is complex, and beyond the scope of this forum really. Also, your screenshot didn't come through (it's an issue all the time).

However, most of what you are asking for, simply requires that you have good instructions, good knowledge sources.

It will respond with Citations and pointers to the documents automatically, meaning it will show you and tell you about pages and books automatically.

As long as you setup your knowledge sources properly, then it boils down to how, if at all, you want to segregate data into different areas. One giant Agent might be ok, or you might want Agents per... let's call it "knowledge area". Where a parent agent is smart enough to route to other agents that are experts in certain topics.

Like your first and second questions are pretty standard. I use that just for my Christmas decorations, so with GenAI on and Public sites OFF, you should be able to create it pretty quickly

So instead of waiting for us to tell you how, go create an Agent and start playing with it.

    1) Create your agent
    2) Determine if you want one agent or a parent / child knowledge area
    3) Write solid instructions
    4) create the proper topics that look for Entities you create, such as Country or Article or Compliance etc as key words
    5) You can also create hot buttons, so you can make suggestions to ask certain questions
    6) add your knowledge articles

Ask your question and see what you get.

You can go as far as telling your Agent(s) to ONLY use certain knowledge sources for certain keywords if you want. So you could force France or Germany or Italy questions to go to certain topics, or to certain Child agents.

Go out there, build something, play around. I gave the steps above, its not hard. You can even just use AI (Copilot) to describe what you want and have it build it to try it out.

If you have issues come back, happy to help.

If these suggestions help resolve your issue, Please consider Marking the answer as such and also maybe a like.

    Thank you!
    Sincerely, Michael Gernaey
