Since I've been having issues with my agent as of today I'm trying to delete and build a new one but running into issues with Microsoft Copilot Studio. HELP!
We ran into a problem and your agent couldn't be deleted. Please try deleting it again.

    Hi,
I’ve seen this issue before, and in most cases it’s not an actual deletion failure but something related to the environment, solution layer, or a temporary UI glitch.

Here are a few things you can try:
    • First, try a full refresh by signing out of Copilot Studio and reopening it (or use an InPrivate/Incognito browser session). Sometimes the delete action goes through but the UI doesn’t reflect it immediately.
    • Check whether the agent still exists inside a solution. If it was only removed from the agent list, it may still be present in the underlying solution. Navigate to Solutions, open the relevant solution, and try deleting the agent from there.
    • Verify if there are any dependencies or customizations tied to the agent. Agents that are part of solutions or have dependencies may not delete until those dependencies are cleared.
    • You can also try deleting the agent from the Power Apps solution interface instead of directly from Copilot Studio, as that path can sometimes bypass UI-related issues.
If none of the above works, it could be a transient backend issue, especially if this started happening recently. In that case, retry after some time or consider raising a support ticket.

Let me know which environment this is happening in (Dev/QA/Prod or managed vs unmanaged), and I can help narrow it down further.

If this started today and multiple operations in Copilot Studio are behaving unexpectedly (publishing, editing, deleting), the most likely cause is a temporary

service issue or a stuck backend operation, rather than anything you've done.

First verify there are no active service incidents, then retry from an InPrivate browser session or the Power Apps Maker Portal.

If the agent still cannot be deleted after several attempts and some time has passed, open a Microsoft Support ticket with the correlation ID so they can clear

    the backend state.

You could try deleting the knowledge source, topics, tools, and try deleting the agent.  Check the admin center if there is any service issue as well
