Issues creating a power automate connection to Azure Blob Storage

I am having issues creating an Azure Blob Storage connector. When clicking create I get error "The specified container does not exist". I don't understand why it is looking for a container, or even where I am supposed to enter it. I have tried clicking the Skip connection test checkbox, and it creates the connection complete with green check box, but when I try and use it in a flow I get an error message.

I am in a GCC Tenant if that makes a difference.

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

    Azure Blog Storge is organized hierarchically into storate accounts, container, and blobs, by providing a unique global namespace, logical grouping like folders, and scalable objects storage for unstructured data.
     
     
    Azure Blob Storage is organized into storage accounts, which contain containers, which in turn contain blobs (files). So container context is important. Meaning, the connector needs to know which container to work with because operations like listing blobs or uploading require a container context. Hence, when creating the connector or using its actions, we must specify the container name explicitly.
     
    What need to be checkd:
    • Container existence: Go to your Azure Storage Account in the Azure Portal → Containers → confirm the container exists (grab the name from here).
    • Specify container name in your flow actions: While adding an Azure Blob Storage action, enter the exact container name in the "Container Name" field.
    • Avoid skipping connection test: Skipping the test may create a connection that appears valid but fails at runtime.
    • Check permissions: Make sure your connection uses credentials with at least "Storage Blob Data Reader" role on the container.
    • If using GCC tenant: Confirm that the storage account and container are in a supported region and accessible from your tenant.

    Hi @AH-30122112-0,

    The error usually indicates that the connector is able to reach the storage account, but it cannot validate the target Blob Storage configuration.

    A few things to check:

    • Verify that the storage account name and access key are correct and belong to the same storage account.

    • Make sure the Blob Storage account contains at least one Blob container. Although the connector doesn't ask for a container during connection creation, it validates the storage account and may fail if the referenced container cannot be found.

    • Since you're using a GCC tenant, confirm that you're selecting the correct authentication type and endpoint supported for your environment.

    • If the connection only succeeds when Skip connection test is enabled but later shows Connection not found, the connection was likely not validated successfully. I'd recommend deleting the connection, recreating it after verifying the storage account and container, and then reselecting the new connection in your flow.

    If everything looks correct and the issue persists only in your GCC environment, it may be worth checking whether there are any known limitations for the Azure Blob Storage connector in GCC or opening a Microsoft Support ticket.
