Can you open the data panel by clicking the icon in the left pane, and confirm that the Loans table appears there? If not, can you add it by clicking the 'Add data' button and then retry setting the data source of the gallery to the Loans table?
1) Did you create the loans table, then publish all customizations before opening your app? If not CTRL F5, when it reloads it should see it
2) are you sure you put it in the right environment. Check out the Tables in your Solution and just be sure
3) are you sure depending on how you did it, did you get yourself permission?
