Can AI really build RPA workflows from plain language? Here’s what we found.

We’ve been exploring how to make RPA more accessible — how users could simply describe what they want, and get a runnable workflow in return.
That’s how Octoparse AI came to be — a lightweight, free RPA tool for building and running automation workflows with or without code.
Recently, we added AI Copilot, a built-in feature that turns plain language into ready-to-run workflows — complete with steps, element selectors, and logic flow.

How it works

You describe your task in natural language, and the Copilot generates a complete workflow automatically.
No manual setup, no XPath trial-and-error — everything’s visual and editable.

Why we built it
  1. To see how AI and RPA can work together — AI handles the logic, humans fine-tune.
  2. To make learning RPA easier — every step is transparent and editable.
  3. To lower the barrier for new users — you can test ideas in minutes, not hours.

Try it out & share your thoughts

AI Copilot is now live in Octoparse AI, and every new user gets free credits (enough for around 30 generated workflows).
We’d love to hear your feedback and ideas for what automation scenarios AI should tackle next.
You can check it out in Octoparse AI and share your thoughts with us on Discord.

I just tried this tool, and it really does create a working process in just a few minutes. However, some errors pop up during execution, and I'm not quite sure what these prompts are indicating. Documentation or tutorials would be helpful.
Additionally, can it build automated workflows for desktop software? And can it handle requests for API connections with other platforms?

AI sounds cool. I’ve been using automate for some time, and setting up complex web flows can take a lot of effort. If this AI Copilot can really handle multi-step tasks just from a description, that’d be a game changer. How well does it handle web interactions like filling forms or scraping data?

Really appreciate the feedback shared here! The current version of AI Copilot supports web and Excel workflows. HTTP requests are available, and Python scripts can also be executed directly within it.

We’re continuously improving stability and exploring ways to make RPA more accessible — feedback like this is super helpful. :D
