Notify the user when the case deviates from defined process flow

Posted on by 2
Hi,

In the Process Mining model for a process, how can we notify a user if a case deviates from the expected/ defined Process.
What capabilities of power platform and how can they be used to achieve this functionality?

Process Mining gives you the option for analyzing the event logs. In this example you want to compare it with a defined process. There is no automatically option for notifying users. Based on the differences you would need to adapt the deviations as change the process or contact users if you know them. Users can be added to an event log, but that is not always provided.

I wanted to know, if certain case doesn't have all the activities and doesn't follow the flow as per BPMN Layer, How can we notify a user that their case is deviating from the actual process?

    Hi,

This is a great question. Thanks for using the Power Platform community for your question.

In the Power Automate Process Mining desktop application, you can perform a process comparison. You can add a layer by providing a BPMN file. If you have the process in Visio, you can convert that to the BPMN format.
