We have noticed an issue with the modern list in Power Pages (Enhanced Data Model). When clicking Create, the form opens in a new browser tab. With the legacy list control, the create page opened in the same tab.
This behavior is inconsistent because:
Edit and Details open in the same tab.
Only Create opens in a new tab.
Steps to reproduce:
Navigate to a modern list in Power Pages (Enhanced Data Model site).
Click Create.
Observe that the create form opens in a new browser tab.
Expected behavior:
The create form should open in the same browser tab (consistent with Edit, Details, and the legacy list control).
Actual behavior:
The create form opens in a new tab, leading to inconsistent navigation.
Since this is a preview feature, this should either be fixed or considered as a feature request for consistent behavior.
