DropDown of filtered list from Sharepoint site not showing list (but name will show up if typed in)

I have a sharepoint list where a column (called Manager)only contains a filtered sharepoint group (called PTO Managers).

I have a PTO powerapp screen to create a new request. When you select the manager dropdown field, the arrow disappears, but the list does not show up. However, if you type the first 3 characters, the person shows up. If you type the name of a person that is not a manager, it does NOT show up.

Before i had the sharepoint column filter on the sharepoint group, ALL names would show up in the list if you select the dropdown arrow.

The Items in the datacard is: Choices([DataSource].Manager). Manager is the name of the column in SharePoint. The DisplayMode says Parent.DisplayMode

I have tried changing the field, deleting and adding the field, but nothing seems to get that list to show up.

Any help is appreciated.

Update: If I do a manual table in the Items field ["Option1","Option2"] the drop down works.
I have the same question (0)

A bit of testing here reveals much the same experience. An important thing you need to remember is that when using Choices(ListName.PersonFieldName), you only receive a list of users already in the data, not the entire list that might be available. You are better using Office365 Groups - I have a blog on that process (Groups are at the bottom).

This worked perfectly. I had been messing around with it for a few days with no luck but this solution has me going again!
