Anyone else had this problem?

I am trying to add a custom connector that I am the owner for to a new empty solution so that I can move it into a new environment.

When i try and add it, I can see the connector and add it from outside dataverse but the screen just sits there at the adding solution objects. Hangs for ever, I have literally left it all day and it doesnt even error.

    I had the same problem. This worked for me:

    Facts (not sure which ones are necessary for the behavior):

    • I had the same behavior and error as @MK-17121341-0. I.E process hangs when trying to add the custom connector to the solution, 409 response.
    • I had shared my custom connector with a group.
      • So the permissions were myself as the owner, and a group as the only other entity being shared.
    • I also had a second custom connector which was already in the solution, that was also owned by me and shared to the same group.
      • I was able to add this as an existing item without issue.
    Actions:
    • To the connector that was not in the solution: I unshared the custom connector from the group.
      • I was now the only one with access to the connector (as the owner)
    • I was then able to successfully add the connector to the solution via the solution -> Add existing item
    Afterwards some stranger behavior happened. My permissions to the custom connector were removed, and the connector was essentially orphaned in terms of access. Going via the Power Platform / Power Automate UI I was unable to edit or view the connector.

    I was able to restore access by going to the dynamics 365 page and sharing it to myself. ({redacted}.dynamics.com/main.aspx?etn=connector&pagetype=entityrecord&id={redacted}).

    Having the same issue when trying to add an existing custom connector to a new solution (as owner of the custom connector) and hangs with adding to solution...nothing else at all... just hangs!
    But jumping into dev mode of my chosen web browser can see the underlying response is a 409 conflict with the following response payload (sensitive info redacted) ?

    Has anyone else faced this issue ?

    {
        "statuses": {
            "<REDACTED>": {
                "status": "PermissionsMigrationWarning",
                "permissionWarnings": [
                    {
                        "permissionId": "/providers/Microsoft.PowerApps/apis/<REDACTED>",
                        "warningType": "GroupOrTenantPermission"
                    }
                ]
            }
        }
    }

    Hi, Ads23421 what I can suggest you is to create the custom conector inside the solution. So first create solution and then create custom connector inside of it.

    I have the same issue. But the answer below does not work.

    I can edit but I can't add it to the solution.

    This looks like a bug to fix

    I had the same problem. It was caused by unsufficient rights to this connector. The greyed out 'Edit' icon shows that you do not have 'Edit' rights on the connector.

    As soon as I had 'Edit' rights on it, I was able to add it to a solution.
