Hello,
I’m having an issue when trying to generate a Word file from a template using data collected through a form.
In my document, there are many places where the same data is repeated (e.g., Madam, Sir, first name, last name, etc.), so I’m using content controls. However, Power Automate detects them as independent fields, even though they share the same tag and title.
As a result, I have to define each one individually, and I end up exceeding the 200-parameter limit.
Has anyone found a way to fix or work around this issue?
Thanks in advance!
Hello, and thank you for your reply.
I’m currently in charge of automating the contract creation process for my company. The workflow is as follows: I provide a Microsoft Form that employees fill out with the required information, then I connect everything through Power Automate. Depending on the contract type, the flow selects the corresponding Word template.
As you can imagine, each contract contains a large number of repeated fields such as first name, last name, title, etc., which means I quickly exceed the 200-parameter limit.
Regarding your suggestion about using an Azure Function, I should be able to make that work technically — but my question is: Would that approach still allow me to run the process through Power Automate, so the entire workflow remains automated?
Thanks again for your help.
Best regards,
