How do you get the ParkingRequestDateTime, Make and Model fields into the canvas app table?

I have done the lookup fields of ParkingRequests and Vehicle which work. I added the related fields in the Active Parking view and they populate. I published the tables. But when I go to the canvas app and look at my table, I try to add the fields (ParkingRequestsTimeDate, Make, Model) to the table but I cannot find them. Help!

Hi @CU09091446-1, In the canvas app, the data source for your gallery should be Parking Inspections.

To get Vehicle name (from Parking Inspection table), try
    ThisItem.Vehicle.'Vehicle Name'

and similarly for Make and Model

To get Parking Request Date time try ThisItem.ParkingRequest.ParkingRequestDateTime

    Thanks

I have the same question!!! I have tried searching on here with no luck. have tried emailing about it as well (several times, and now I'm basically just writing a diary to the microsoft power up people, lol) but haven't gotten a reply.

I was eventually able to set up the gallery with the vehicles table as my main gallery, and then made nested galleries for the other columns that needed to pull data from the other tables. After spending wayyy too long trying to figure that out on my own, I realized I needed to sort by inspections today and now i'm back to square one as nothing seems to be working formula-wise. I'll even use the drop downs on the right side to choose my view, and then it says my view isnt valid (even though it was suggested for me in the drop down?) My brain hurts!

I've been stuck on this for DAYS. I'm very confused because I cant find anything in the provided resources about it. The gallery example in the canvas app module was not helpful because it only needed to pull from one table. Copilot is giving me plenty of suggestions but none of them seem to work due to conflicting data types (particularly lookup/record not being able to be used with a text data type). ChatGPT is the same. Google is not helpful as I am a total beginner. I've tried looking in the Power Apps resources on the Microsoft websites but those don't seem to answer my questions either, as most answers seem to be way too complex for something that is supposed to be part of an intro course. Or maybe I'm just too beginner for this beginner course lol

Can anyone point me/us in the direction of the resource that outlines how to do this part?
