I am currently trying to auto filter a list in power pages, I have a column labeled cr6d0_department and I want to filter the list by the user's

{{ user.department }}

I haven't found a way to do this easily, I also want it to filter out those rows that were filtered from the download option. any ideas?

Is your list (what I am calling Table X below) pointing to the Contact table?

So basically you want to display a list of Contacts where they are from the same department?

My approach below would work just fine

Table Permission on Department

child Table Permission on Contact

department is a look up inside of contacts. I'm just not really sure how to enable a contact list.

Hi, is the idea for the list to be filtered only? or actually secured by the department?

Also, is department a lookup?

My initial thoughts here:

Department should be a table

Contact table should have a lookup for department

"Table X" should have another relationship with department (either 1:N / N:N / N:1)

Table permission should be setup in a hierarchy way:

Department - Contact scope pointing to lookup relationship

"Table X" Parent/Child scope, pointing to the department relationship, this should be a child permission of the Department permission

the above approach would ensure your data is secured by the Department
