Using text recognition to capture product label information and print labels - AI builder

We aim to develop an app that scans unstructured product label information, identifies problematic labels using AI trained on known patterns, and extracts key data fields such as item code, lot, batch, expiry date, and production date. The extracted data will be mapped and used to generate and print a new, standardized GS1-compliant label.

    Here is how I am developing at high-level:
    Scan product labels using OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology.
    Analyze labels for errors using AI trained on known problematic patterns.
    Extract key data fields like item code, lot, batch, expiry date, and production date.
    Generate GS1-compliant labels using the extracted data.
    Print labels with a connected printing service.
     
    Front-End Application
    Back-End Processing
    Label Printing
     
    lot of effort, but can be achievable.
