Submit AddPicture from mobile to OneDrive file size 0 kb

Posted on by 118

Hello,

i have an app which includes a form with AddPicture in one of it's datacards. Data source is OneDrive, where details are saved in Excel table, and image file goes to "..._images" sub folder.

This has been in use since 2019, but now between June 7-11th it stopped working.

Excel details are saved properly, but the image file size is 0 kb, and file is obvioulsy corrupted. Interesting detail is that this only and always occures when running the app in mobile device. Running the app on workstation M365 environment does not cause error.

Any ideas how to fix it, or where to start looking for the cause?

    Hi,

Using form control to add all the field from datasource.

    1) Add Picture via PowerApps -> Picture doesn't show

    2) Adding an item to SharePoint works, and a picture is displayed.

That's the way you've created the SharePoint list and started the App Building. I would need to know how you created the Form in Power apps.

Did you use the Form controll or did you use simple TextInputs?

    Hi, @DBO_DB
    It's the canvas apps.

    1. I created the form from excel

    2. Manually add column "image"

    3. adjusted all column type (number, choice, etc..)

    4. Integrated with Power Apps

How do you create the Form? is it the Finished form from Power apps ? Modern Design or Classic Design?

Do you use any custome code in the Save button?

    Hi,

Thank you for your reply, I've tested many scenarios as listed
    Sharepoint list
    1) Create sharepoint list.
    2)  Integrated with Power Apps.
    3) Designed and published.
    4) Sharepoint manually adds new item and it's working fine, the picture is showed

    5) As I tested create new item with Power Apps website and mobile apps, the picture isn't uploaded but showed as "Required info" (but the image column is required column)

    Hello,

I found that adding images to a Sharepoint list works fine, but when using PowerApps, the images are stored as 0kb files.
Does anyone have a solution for this incident?
