Hi there,

I'm on lesson 6 (Connect to Loans table data in my canvas app) of Building a Canvas App for a School Library (I'm slow) and need some guidance.

When I connect the Loans database to the app, it works fine (picture 1). When I put in the formula, it gives error messages (picture 2). I've even tried picture 3 but still get the error messages. Does anyone have any tips to try?

Also, in my infinite wisdom I may have changed something with the source data and don't know how to 'reset it'. Loving the program so far!

Don't worry, this forum is dedicated to Power Up program students (I think).

1-From your screenshots I couldn't find the text input control and its name also need to change to txtSearch

2-txtSearch.Text for classic text input control
txtSearch.Value for modern text input control

Search(Loans,txtSearch.Text,StudentFullName)

3-The formula expression is case-sensitive. Use Intellisense instead of typing the full text.

Intellisense suggestions:
Use the arrow keys to navigate through the suggestions and press Tab to select and insert the highlighted suggestion.

Can you show the Items formula of the gallery.

Deleting and recreating the gallery might be faster than troubleshooting.

It seems it has something to do with the gallery items/source (galLoans).

Can you provide the error messages of the galLoans?
