Yes—you can build a simple game like bubble burst in Microsoft Power Apps, but it’s important to set the right expectations 😊

Power Apps is not a game engine, so:
    • No high-performance animations
    • No physics engine
    • Limited frame rate control
So think simple arcade-style, not complex gaming

There are plenty of games which are developed in Canvas App but not an action / performance games.

Considering the product bottlenecks and limitation while you are planning for something big.

Hi @Iantaylor2050, hope you're doing well.

Although the native PowerApps Canvas apps are extremely limited, with slow refresh rates and the lack of a proper physics engine and the ability to write complex code involving mathematics, there is something you can do to build decent-enough games with PowerApps.

That said, PowerApps has recently introduced Code Apps, a feature that significantly expands what developers can achieve. With Code Apps, you can build your entire application using React and deploy it directly into PowerApps. This opens the door to leveraging the full ecosystem of React libraries, enabling far more sophisticated game development.

In practice, this means you can develop a complete game in React using any libraries or tools you prefer and then deploy it to PowerApps via the Power Platform CLI. This approach effectively bypasses many of the traditional limitations of Canvas apps.
