Hi,

I am trying to use an AI-builder prompt in a section of a Microsoft Copilot agent.

In this prompt, one of the inputs is a PDF document. I tested the prompt with the document in question, and it works.

However, when I test the section, I get an error message:

Error Message: The prompt 'analyze document' ('227b2625-3b3c-47ec-ad6b-a33d0211b211') failed to execute with response code '400'.

Error Code: AIModelActionBadRequest

Conversation ID: f8daea17-3460-4f8c-b5b1-7e795c42ec11

I encounter this error regardless of how I try to submit the document (e.g., dropping it into the chat, using get_file_content in SharePoint...).

Hello,

If I understand correctly, you want to upload a PDF file in an agent, and use AI Builder to analyze it, right? Upload files to a conversation is a new feature, so not sure if you can use it in AI Builder yet.

Screenshots you shared seem not be available :(, so could you provide more detail on that?

Yes, that's exactly what I want to do. Uploading the document in the conversation seems to work, but the prompt doesn't work (only in the conversation, not when I test it)

Hi,

I tried the same in my developer environment and I get the same result. So it seems we found a bug ;)

I'll try to submit a support request to MS to solve it!

Hi VC-25090824-0,

In dev Environment (or) trial instance, we have experienced this issue multiple times.

This is because there is some restrictions in using the AI builder. If you have done testing few times, then the response from AI builder will not be available.

It will be available after certain hours or the next day only.

Please note that, i have'nt used Document analysis , but for some other similar requirement.

Getting this same issue, the prompt works when using the prompt builder testing pane, but now when using the Copilot Studio testing pane.
