Unable to create a connector with the same name as our existing certified connector for export.

We previously used ISV Studio to submit updates, and this is our first time using Partner Center. We don’t have an existing offer that was migrated from ISV Studio.

We believe we need to create a new offer in Partner Center and submit an exported solution (solution.zip) file from Dataverse. Since it is an existing certified connector, the solution within the Dataverse-enabled environment needs to match the existing connector (API Name), Cognito Forms, we are updating. However, we’re unable to create a connector with the same API name — Cognito Forms — inside a Power Platform solution from a Dataverse environment, even though there are no existing connectors in that environment with that name. It always renames the connector to “Cognito Forms – 1".

Can I ask, if you go to Add Existing for sure you do not see something that is listed as OUTSIDE Dataverse? Versus inside.

Next you can go into the Unmanaged Default solution and verify its not there.

The default solution had the same custom connector as the one in the Cognito Forms solution. To be sure, I deleted it, and now there are no connectors in the environment.

    Add existing - From Dataverse

    Outside Dataverse
