When you open the Default links tab in the PowerPages web linkset,
A list of registered web links is displayed, and the display order is set.
When adding a new web link to this Default
(When creating a new web link from "+New Web Link" on the Default link tab)
I cannot set the display order here, but is there a way to customize the display order here?

Yes, you can customize the display order of web links in the PowerPages web link set, but this typically requires some additional configuration steps. Here's how you can address this issue:

Steps to Customize the Display Order of Web Links:

    1. Create the Web Link:

      • When you add a new web link from the "+New Web Link" option on the Default links tab, it gets added to the web link set without a specific order.
    2. Set the Display Order:

      • After saving the new web link, navigate back to the list of registered web links in the web link set.
      • In the list view, you should see a column for Display Order (or something similar, depending on your configuration).
      • Edit this column for your newly added web link and assign it a numeric value representing its desired position in the order. Lower numbers typically appear first.
    3. Use Drag-and-Drop (if supported):

      • Some implementations of PowerPages allow drag-and-drop functionality to rearrange links in the list directly. Check if this is enabled in your system.
      • If not, proceed with manual adjustments as described above.
    4. Publish Changes:

      • Once the display order is set, ensure you save and publish your changes to make them live on the portal.

    Alternative: Customize the Code

If the above steps don’t meet your needs, and you have developer access, you can customize the web linkset entity in the Dataverse. Adjust the logic or scripting for display order handling based on your specific requirements.

If the Display Order Option is Missing:

    • Ensure you have the necessary permissions to modify web link settings.
    • Verify that the Display Order field is enabled in the Dataverse for the web link entity. Sometimes, this field may need to be added to the form view for editing.

Let me know if you need further clarification or run into any issues while setting up the display order!
