Connection to the SharePoint list after deployment

Hello everyone,

I have a Canvas app in Power Apps with a SharePoint list as the data source. I imported it into a new environment after duplicating the site. Now the issue is that the new app is still pointing to the old SharePoint site.

How can I make it point to the new site?

Thank you.

You should use Environment Variables for the SharePoint site URL and list instead of hardcoding it.

Store the site URL and list in two different environment variables inside a solution, then set the correct value in each environment. This way, when you import the app, it automatically points to the new site.

This is the recommended ALM approach in Microsoft Power Apps and avoids having to reconnect manually every time.

@gikido,  What is the deployment process which you follows are you using the solution based deployment.
If yes, the environment variables needs to configured correctly at the time of importing to the newer environment.

If you are manually moving application between the environment you have update the site details in the Data section of the application.
