Best ways to learn Power Platform & Copilot Studio quickly

Hello everyone,

I’m currently learning Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and also Copilot Studio.

I’ve completed several Microsoft Learn modules, which are very helpful for understanding the fundamentals. However, I’d now like to level up faster through hands-on, real-world practice, especially on end-to-end scenarios.

I’d really appreciate your recommendations on:

  • Effective tips or learning strategies to gain skills faster
  • Practical labs, sandboxes, or exercises beyond Microsoft Learn

  • Hands-on practice specifically for Copilot Studio (building copilots, topics, actions, integrations)

  • Sample projects, real-life use cases, or community challenges

  • Useful GitHub repositories, blogs, or training platforms

From your experience, what helped you become truly confident with Power Platform and Copilot Studio?

Thanks in advance for your insights and feedback

For Co-Pilot, you can learn it using Copilot Studio Agent Academy https://microsoft.github.io/agent-academy/, it is hands on.
You can also use MCS labs for more hands on stuff. https://microsoft.github.io/mcs-labs/

I would also suggest signing up for Power up Program https://powerup.microsoft.com/ (free)

For more structured and hands on courses, you can take a look at these
    1. 90 Day Mentoring Challenge (Power Platform) https://www.90daymc.com/ (paid)
    3. Solutions Architect Accelerator program (https://www.untethered365.com/architects-accelerator) (paid) (I was enrolled in this)
    4. Powerapps 911 https://training.powerapps911.com/collections ((they have free & paid ones)

    Hello @CU05021608-0

You’are already off to a great start with Microsoft Learn. To level up faster, focus on hands-on, end-to-end builds rather than more isolated modules.

    What works best

Use the Power Platform Developer Plan to practice with Dataverse and real environments.

Build complete solutions: Dataverse → Power Apps → Power Automate → Copilot Studio.

Recreate common business scenarios (leave requests, helpdesk, approvals, asset tracking).

    Copilot Studio practice:

Build copilots that call Power Automate actions.

Ground copilots in Dataverse and files.

Practice topic design, generative answers, and fallback handling.

    Structured practice:

Join the Power Up Program (labs, challenges, strong community):

    https://powerup.microsoft.com/helpCenter/

    Accelerators:

    Rebuild community examples.

Participate in challenges and answer forum questions.

Follow creators like Shane Young, Reza Dorrani, and April Dunnam.

    Key takeaway:

Confidence comes from shipping small real solutions repeatedly, not just completing modules.

Honestly theres a lot of great resources out there. If you haven't already, I recommend definitely trying out these certificate sources. Although these are mainly to study for a certificate, the information provided is reaaallly useful:

Power Platform Associate PL-400: Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate - Certifications | Microsoft Learn

Here are some for Copilot Studio that I found useful:
Microsoft Applied Skills: Create agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio - Applied Skills | Microsoft Learn
Microsoft Copilot Studio: Online Courses, Training and Tutorials | LinkedIn Learning
    Copilot Studio Agent Academy

Honestly these learning resources are super useful. Especially the PPA one (First Link) It really sets you up a bunch.
