Since early April 2025, I'm consistently encountering an error when trying to copy and paste controls in a Dataverse for Teams Canvas App. The error message is:
"The clipboard doesn't contain any YAML code to paste."
This happens in the following scenarios:
Copying a control using Ctrl + C / Ctrl + V
Right-click > Copy / Paste
Copy-pasting within the same screen or app - this is not copying from different apps, it is the same screen and just wasting a label for example and pasting it next to it.
Using both the Teams desktop client and Teams web app (teams.microsoft.com)
Environment:
Platform: Dataverse for Teams (I cannot use make.powerapps.com)
Editor: Power Apps Studio within Microsoft Teams
Browsers tested: Edge and Chrome
Clients tested: Teams desktop and browser
Impact: Cannot copy and paste any controls. All components must be rebuilt manually.
Workarounds Tried (but unsuccessful):
Restarting Teams (fully quitting and reopening)
Using keyboard shortcuts instead of context menu
Trying in different browsers
Copying simpler controls
Clearing the clipboard
Request: Is this a known issue or a regression introduced in a recent update? Are there any available fixes or workarounds?
