Hi,

I'm having an issue with Copilot app in Teams.

I'm using On Conversation Start trigger for the bot to auto pop up a welcome message when users open the chat. It works fine during testing in Copilot studio, but not in Teams.

In Teams, the welcome messages doesn't auto appear, I have to send a phrase to trigger the bot.

I've already uninstall then reinstall the app but it doesn't work.

Anybody also encounter the same problem? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hello,

it's not possible for Teams channel to have a welcome message. It's because when opening the bot in Teams, you're initiating the chat, not the bot. In a custom website it's different - when the chat bubble is opened, then JS invokes the bot and it can send the initial message.
