auto populate email field after clicking Microsoft form link from email

Posted on by

I am creating a survey using Microsoft forms, in that there is a field email id in it and when we send these forms to our customers, and when they click on the form link then while opening Microsoft forms email id should be auto populated and should be non-editable.

Meanwhile we want to save this email value in SharePoint to whoever is responding to this survey.

As attached, I have created basic flow, but it is allowing user to put their personal email ids.
We want their official/org email ids on which we are sending our survey form link.

How can we achieve this using Microsoft forms and power automate? or if it is necessary we are open to use google forms as well.

Thanks in advance.

auto populate email field after clicking Microsoft form link from email
You can achieve this by using the a new option in your Microsoft form (as of May 2024), called Get Pre-Filled URL.
This works on anonymous forms as well.

When this E-mail adres is the only field or the last pre-filled field,
You can adjust the url in your PowerAutomate at the end to PreFill the E-mail adres.

This works in anonymous forms as well.
